Are You Having A Hard Time Decorating For A Baby Shower Party? It May Be Tough Finding Good Decorations

My sister and I planned a baby shower for one of our nieces. We made the decision to have it in the fellowship area of the local church because it was a large guest list. We had the baby shower party on a Saturday afternoon. We didn't want to get too detailed with the baby shower decorations because we needed to have the complete area cleaned out instantly after the party. We did want to have a few decorations for baby shower to give the room a festive feel. There's a cradle that is passed to every new mother for the baby to sleep in for the first four to six weeks. This bassinet was my mother's. We determined that we would use the bassinet as the center of our baby shower decorations.

The fellowship section has big round tables that seat ten folks. We moved one table off on its own to be the gift table. We covered this table with a smooth pink table cloth; our niece knows she is having a girl. We set the bassinet in the center of the table. We made the decision to use our presents for the baby shower party decorations. I had purchased a pink and white baby blanket, which we draped over the side of the cradle. We pinned several rattles and other baby toys to the blanket using diaper pins. We then showed the little ensembles that my sister had purchased. We finished the baby shower decorations for the gift table by placing a big stuffed bear into the bassinet. It's so much fun to decorating for a baby shower!

For the food service table we had an array of fresh-cut flowers from the local florist. She used soft pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the arrangement. We determined that no other baby shower decorations needed to be placed on this table. We did have pink napkins that we put on this table, together with a cake that was ornamented with a stork holding a small doll in a pink frosting blanket.

We had also ordered a corsage for our niece and one for every of the new grandmothers to be. We felt that the room looked very nice and we wouldn't have to spend a whole lot of time cleaning up baby shower party decorations because they would all be sent home as gifts to our niece.

We had a great turn out for the baby shower party. My niece received several very nice gifts. She was glad that we had the baby shower party in a space that was not small. As she progresses with the pregnancy she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the shower was over the fellowship area was cleaned up and we were on our way home.
